Hello, I’m Ross Houston, and I have a deep passion for gardening! From the initial planning stages to planting, nurturing, and ultimately enjoying the fruits of my labor, gardening is my true love.

My journey as a gardener began in childhood with simple flower beds, and over the years, I progressed to cultivating enough vegetables to sustain my family. This passion inspired me to earn a degree in Horticulture from North Carolina State University. My professional experience includes working as a grower, managing the grounds of a large campus, and serving as a staff Horticulturist for the State of North Carolina.

Through Harvesting Garden Wisdom, I am thrilled to share my knowledge with you.Whether your interests lie in perennials, native plants, or growing your own food, I can assist you in selecting the right plants and provide guidance on their care. I offer consulting and coaching services to homeowners in the Frederick, Maryland and surrounding areas who wish to enhance their properties with vibrant, flourishing gardens.
